Missio Phoenix Concert reviews
Clem Burke drives a wicked Blondie Automobile
The show was driven by the drummer, especially with the iconic singer in the band - I can't ever remember a band like that in my lifetime after seeing hundreds of shows. Missio, the finely tuned auto, tore into SF and shredded the place as they have been in tour mode for quite a while now. Speaking of shredding, Tommy Kessler, the current guitarist, is really sowing his stage oats and becoming quite a visual fixture in his own right. This band continually grows and incorporates new material into their show, rejecting the idea of being a "best of" group content with playing the "hits" to keep everything fresh. A video cameo by a couple of artists singing/rapping along with Debbie was the only wart - it was a nice idea, just didn't work real well. Keep it live, Missio!!!
